Hello All ,
i found this Petition online against the overly large Apartment Complex Development At College & Kessler
( Originally 200 apartments & now revised to 151 ) Which would increase the approx. people per 6-7 land plots from the approximate 15 ( approx. 2.5 per land lot ) by a factor of 20-30x times ( so 151 units would hold approx. 225-300 people )
Please take a look & vote if you feel this is TOO Large a development for the Meridian Kessler…Continue

The Proposed building is 45 ft tall occupies the whole canal front and removes the road access along the canal leaving only a very tight & restricted walkway , which does not match the open space &…Continue

I hope all of us in the Warfleigh, Rocky Ripple, and Broad Ripple are are paying close attention to the Flooding throughout the state. Please notice that none of these communities are required to maintain Flood Insurance; however, all have been assured they will be "Bailed Out" by FEMA. Additionally, I noticed in Tipton that individual were throwing out perfectly good furniture because they have been assured they will…Continue

It looks like someone is giving away a nice looking bicycle with the trash this morning. The bike is leaned up against the trash at the third house west of Meridian Street bridge on Riverview, across from the pumping station.
IBJ article says Broad Ripple garage hits snag because of where it is in relationship with the flood plain.

Leaves, branches, twigs and other yard debris have started to accumulate in Hoosier yards, and there are ways to get rid of these unwanted wastes without burning them. Mulching, composting and chipping dispose of yard waste without creating harmful smoke.
The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) reminds Hoosiers that all smoke is harmful to human health and the environment. Smoke from wood contains carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, fine particles and ozone-forming…Continue

A medium sized, mixed breed dog, ginger with white on the face, has been in my yard most of the morning. We were worried about it being so hot, we have given it water and treats but it is will not let us get close. It has a green collar and flea collar? Call me at 695-2958 if it is your dog or you know who it belongs to. 6745 Riverview Dr.

We were driving home from the BR Brewpub tonight around 10:00 PM. On our way home coming down Riverview Dr just around Delaware St we came across a Yorkie in the street. She was cold, dirty, and without any tags. We will be taking her to the BR Animal Clinic tomorrow to see if she is microchipped.
If someone is missing a Yorkie please let us know. We already have 2 big dogs (60lbs+) and this cute little Yorkie is more than we can handle right now. She must belong to…Continue
Jane Lichtenberg, who writes Star Watch in the Indianapolis Star, reminds us that a city ordinance requires us to shovel the snow and ice from the sidewalks. As a walker, I truly appreciate being able to walk on the sidewalks and I thank all who do clear their walks. Jane gives us the ordinance details.
The model train display is expanded this year at Garfield Park, featuring more villages, poinsettias and thousands of LED twinkle lights. Check it out. Kids will love it and so will those who love model…Continue
