You know, I was wondering recently if we had permission to alter any plant life along the south bank of the canal- specifically between Delaware and Central? My proto-fantasy is to rip out the weeds and undesirable plants and replace them with nice trees. My guess is that the water company isn't ok with this, though.

We can check - something to add for the Beautification Committee. I think the Citizens Water would be concerned about us planting things but not so much about pulling weeds out.

The WNA Beautification Committee checked into this. The levee is governed by the Army Corp of Engineers and no one is allowed to put "permanent structures" on the levee, or plantings.
