Police activity Monday night

At about 10:30 Monday evening I was taking my dog out just north of St. Paul's, when I I heard noise and saw 3-5 boys on bicycles heading towards Meridian West Dr from their parking lot making a lot of noise. I then saw and heard someone yelling at them to not break into cars and stay away. I walked across west dr and spoke to a neighbor who saw kids going through their back yard on bikes on the west side of the street earlier. I then went back to the St. paul's parking lot where there was a police car. I spoke to the officer, and he said there was a report from a home owner about cars being broken into. He said they were black males, and they arrested one for pot posession, and that they couldn't catch the other kids, because they were on bikes with empty back packs and were using the monon trail as an escape route. I was a little surprised at this, but they obviously know more than me about pursuit. I informed the officer that there was a kid across form the bell tower that had just wiped out on his bike. He eventually walked that way and the kid was gone. He asked me to call if there was any more activity.
