New crime watch app?

I just saw this news story:

Might be a supplement to those of us who are engaging in block watches. I am shake-ily trying to keep our block on track but we have no less than 4 houses up for sale and several new renters. Sometimes it's hard to keep up! But remember, other than a big ass gun, the best deterrent to petty crime is friendly relationships between watchful neighbors.
